Ayan Rezaei is an artist-architect-activist. After earning her bachelor's degree in architecture in 2005, she worked in the field until 2015. That year, she relocated to Linz, Austria, to pursue a master’s degree in Space and Design Strategies at the University of Art and Design Linz. Currently, she works as an independent artist, as well as as university assistant and lecturer at the same institution.

Ayan is actively engaged in feminist discourse and is an organizer of activist performances and demonstrations in Linz in support of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran. Her artistic projects span various forms and media, often reflecting on contemporary issues through a critical lens. Her practice is rooted in artistic research, exploring ongoing topics in depth to create interdiciplinary relations.
