Interventions and curating group exhibition
2021
Formerly planned as a home for Nuns in the 1950s, the St Severin parish building stood empty for several years. Before the diggers rolled in this autumn, it offered 26 artists beautiful and affordable workspaces for a year. A rarity, especially at a time when universities and art associations and their project spaces were closed due to the pandemic. For the closing event, I curated an exhibition in the attic of the building, showcasing selected works by the resident artists.
Artists used this building for a year during the pandemic, but due to restrictions, they hardly saw each other. To celebrate the end of that period, I connected the windows from the outside as an excuse to step into the ateliers and meet other artists. It worked prety well!

The participants, equipped with a hammer, could begin the demolishing the building, transforming the distrucction into an aesthetic creation.
